MMAP (Medicare/Medicaid Assistance Program) MMAP Counselors are certified and have been trained in health care benefits counseling. This includes Medicare, Medicaid, and other insurance products. MMAP counselors are not connected with any insurance company and they are not licensed to sell insurance. Councilors are available only via phone at this time.

Ted Talks (In-person and Zoom platform, call the center for the link).
TED is a nonprofit devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks. This group is facilitated by a retired educator. 

Join us on the Second and Fourth Wednesday of the month at 3 pm.

Diabetes Support Group (Currently offered on our Facebook page, via blurbs and recipe suggestions).                                                 
This group discusses not only diabetes but other health conditions that can surround it. The Diabetes Support Group meets 2nd & 4th Wednesdays at 2:00 pm, except for holidays, and is facilitated by a registered nurse.

A Matter of Balance

A Matter of Balance is an award-winning program designed to manage falls and increase activity levels. It is an eight-week class series, emphasizing practical strategies to manage falls. In this class, the participant will learn how to view falls as controllable, to set goals for increased activity, to make changes to reduce fall risks at home, and to exercise to increase strength balance. This class is designed for anyone concerned about falls and interested in improving balance, flexibility and strength; anyone who has fallen in the past; or anyone who has restricted activities because of falling concerns. This class is offered twice yearly. Please call the Ludington Senior Center at 231.845.6841 if you are interested in taking this class. 

Painting Class (Class will resume June 25th at 1 PM).

Join us for the challenging but relaxing class. Learn how to blend watercolors, use acrylics, and more.
The painting class is offered once a month. Registration is required and there will be a cost to take the class.

Cup of Cheer (Now Open). 

Our area garden club meets to create beautiful flower arrangements for our local nursing homes.
This group meets on the third Wednesday of the month at 1:00 PM.

Tech Help (Currently suspended until further notice).

Senior Center staff is available by appointment to assist seniors with their technology needs. Please call the Ludington Senior Center at 231.845.6841 to schedule an appointment.

Low Vision Support Group (Currently suspended until further notice).   

A group discussion on various forms of vision loss, including the emotional aspect of sight loss. Investigate solutions and share resource information.  Third Monday of the Month at 1:00 PM.

What Is The Cost of COVID-19? Support group (Starting April 29, 2021, @ 6:30 PM.)

Join us Starting April 29, 2021. This is a monthly confidential educative support group to begin to process the losses, deaths, and transitions related to the costly impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic.
