Becoming Fit Just Became More Fun!

EnhanceFitness® makes becoming fit more fun! EnhanceFitness® is a group fitness class designed specifically for older adults that includes four classes in one to include strength, flexibility and balance.

EnhanceFitness® is a one-hour class lead by instructors who encourage and create a welcoming atmosphere.

Who should attend?

EnhanceFitness® classes are specifically designed for adults age 60+ regardless of ability or fitness level. Exercises are modified so they can be completed either sitting or standing.

EnhanceFitness will help you: 

  • improve endurance, balance, strength, and flexibility.
  • be more active.
  • help to prevent falls.


Anyone who wants to improve their endurance, balance, strength, and flexibility is encouraged to attend. Those with chronic conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure or arthritis will find many benefits from attending an EnhanceFitness® class, as well as those who want to relieve feelings of depression and anxiety. Best of all, the class is for those who want a casual environment that encourages participants to have fun while they exercise!



Weekly Exercise/Wellness Classes offered


Cardio Drumming with Regina $6 (Soon to be Drums Alive)

Feel the rhythm with the dynamic movements and powerful percussions of this unique high energy rhythmical workout. It's a program for everyone and ANY ability. Tuesdays and Thursdays @ 10:30am-11:05am


Chair Yoga

Move through gentle, seated yoga poses with the support of a chair. Tuesdays at 1:00pm


Enhance Fitness

Monday and Friday @11am


Feldenkrais $6

Feldenkrais asks that you take effort out. You are invited to explore different ways of moving while slowing down enough to sense the process. Feldenkrais attention is directed to the movement of the joints. The small movements almost magically release areas of tension to allow the joints to move more freely. Tightness held for years in habitual patterns may be set free. Feldenkrais is taught in lessons; each week the lesson is new so that the body does not go onto an automatic response. Wednesdays @4pm


Line Dancing

Keep your mind and body active as you try to remember the repeated step sequence while doing this group dance. Come and line dance to your favorite hits. This activity is offered on Tuesday, 2:00 - 4:00 PM. May through October


Ping Pong

Join in on the fun active game of ping-pong Wednesdays @1pm.


Stretch Fit and Balance

Improve flexibility and balance with this low impact exercise includes a chair, stretch bands and hand weights.
Wednesdays @ 10am & 11am.

Walking Club

Join Barb M-F. The walking route changes each day. Please call the center for more information.

Yoga

Connect your body, breath and mind. Join Joan on Fridays and Monday rotation of instructors and different styles of Yoga.  Monday and Fridays 9:30am.

Zumba Gold with Regina $7

Gold class is less intense, with dance routines designed for beginners, active older adults, and those with physical limitation using modified movements. Tuesday & Thursdays @9:30am, Wednesdays at 5:30pm.

Zumba Gold Toning with Regina $7

Uses 1-2.25 lb. Weights Monday 5:30-6:15pm, Thursday 9:30-10:15am
